The Assignment
The assignment of being locked in Christ is to walk out of the world and walk into the Word—to live a biblical life.
Phase 1: The Wide Path
The first phase of this assignment was for me to begin walking out of the world and into the Word of God, living a biblical life and bringing as many lukewarm believers with me as I could. God used that season, and he did use me to bring a few out, pushing them into the Word.
However, Phase 1 is now closed, and Phase 2 is open.
Phase 2: The Narrow Path
The path has gotten more narrow—not as wide as it used to be. This means not as many lukewarm believers can fit. Literally, we don't have the same width of path as before. God narrowed it for me, and honestly, I love that.
Trying to convince the lukewarm to come onto the narrow path with you is not for the faint of heart. The wide part of the path has way more room—it's spacious, comfortable, accommodating.
It fits more people and is easier to walk across the board.
The narrow path is different. It's uncomfortable. It makes you walk in a straight line, head up, chin up. It forces you to watch your step, so you don't fall. It's simply harder.
The Freedom of Phase 2
Phase 2 of this assignment is for me to fully walk out of the world and into the Word. Whoever wants to come can, but whoever doesn't won't. And to them I say: Don't.
In Phase 2, anyone tagging along on the path who doesn't want to be there just takes up space for those who do. It also increases our chances of falling because the path is already this narrow. We need all the room we can get to walk straight.
This is very freeing and liberating for me. Now I get to rest in Christ, take refuge in Him, and be truly locked in Christ. The key turns some more to lock me in—the lock of Christ—so I can become more like Him.
More of my mind can manifest into the mind of Christ. More of my fruit can be the fruits of the Spirit. More of my will can be the Father's will.
The Call
I'm here for it, and I shall be unapologetic about it.
So, are you walking out of the world and into the Word, or not?
Because if you are, it's time to go. Now.
