Y'all, I see y'all. I want to let you know—I see you.
Shout out to the readers in the cave.
You know how they had a bunch of prophets in the cave? Scripture tells us that when Jezebel was killing the Lord's prophets, Obadiah took a hundred prophets and hid them by fifties in caves, providing them with bread and water (1 Kings 18:4). And we can't forget about Elijah, who went into a cave and spent the night, and the word of the Lord came to him there (1 Kings 19:9). I'm not saying all y'all in the cave are prophets. Maybe some of y'all are, though.
Hey, prophets!
But I just want to say shout out to my readers in the cave. You know who you are. And this is biblical, y'all. The Hebrew word for cave is "me'arah" (Strong's H4631), which means "a cavern (as dark)" – cave, den, hole. Even in the darkness of the cave, God's people have always found refuge, and God has always met them there.
I'm talking about you who like to read the Locked in Christ articles under the covers at 2 in the morning. On the low, in the dark lol 😂
I'm talking about you who are on the train and bus, going to work, heading home from work, and you're on your phone.
Checking for that Locked in Christ article that just hit your email.
I'm talking about those of you who wait until you go into the bathroom. Because the last time you read a Locked in Christ article and tried to talk about what was in it, you got a little heat. You got a little persecution from your man or your girl or your family or your friends. So now it's just your favorite thing to do when you're in the bathroom, when you're on the toilet. 😂 You know what I'm saying?
I just want to say shout out to y'all because I am y'all, and y'all are me.
If you knew the articles I was reading in the cut, in the cave, on my phone, unbeknownst to anybody, you would know that I am you and you are me. So, this is not to put the spotlight on y'all or to shame you. This is to say that I love you.
This one is for you—those of you for whom Locked in Christ is your guilty pleasure right now. You are enjoying the bliss that comes with being one of the first people to discover the Locked in Christ blog. You don't even really want to tell nobody yet, just like you don't want to tell nobody about your favorite store that you found because you don't want everybody wearing what you're wearing. You're kind of in your gatekeeping season right now with Locked in Christ.
Baby, I see you. I hear you. I love you. I get it. It's okay. It's alright.
Just don't be Elijah and think you're the only one out there that's tuned in to the Locked in Christ blog reading these articles, because there's plenty of you. But I just want to show y'all some love really quick and mess with you a little bit. Just let you know I see you.
And I really appreciate your support. I feel seen by y'all because I'm the same way. So, it's like, I know y'all see me too. Y'all see my words. Y'all see what I'm putting down. You see what I'm writing.
Also, I want to say a big thank you to all of you that y'all already let me live. Some of you, I have met you at some point in life. And at some point, since I got saved and really gave my life to Christ for real, to be honest, I probably had your contact info. Didn't speak to you in a while, or maybe I didn't even remember how I got your contact info, and I added you to the email list when I popped off this Locked in Christ blog.
And I know y'all saw my message where I was just like, "Yeah, I added you to the list. Don't think I'm crazy before you unsubscribe." And the fact that a lot of y'all let me live, and y'all didn't just unsubscribe immediately. Y'all kind of stuck around, checked it out, and just been reading and supporting—I want to let you know I see you too, and I appreciate that.
Because that was really audacious of me to just add people to the email list without asking them. But I figured, like, yo, it ain't foolishness that I'm posting. It's not harmful. You know what I'm saying? It's deep, revelatory, biblical information that I know is life-changing and extremely helpful for anyone who will give it a chance. So, I also wanted to express my appreciation for that.
Listen. If you are subscribed to Locked in Christ and you are reading the posts that I'm posting—because I am the only writer of this site, it's just me—I appreciate you. You know? Like, as a writer, you really, really appreciate your readers. It's no different than listeners to a singer. So don't ever think that your reading means nothing, or your reading goes unnoticed, because your reading is everything. I mean, what's a writer without their readers?
Thank you so much. And just continue to rock with me. I'm just getting started. Listen, you ain't really even seen nothing yet. So, let's just keep moving forward and just know that at any given time, if y'all want to reach out to me and give any feedback or anything like that, if you have questions or concerns, feel free to leave a comment under the post. Leave a comment and let me know.
