The World Says Chrisean Rock Is Her Sin
Christ Died on the Cross to Prove Otherwise
The world has a verdict on Chrisean. Same mistakes, same patterns, same person. Accept it. Claim it. Wear it. But that is not the gospel, and that is not the God I serve.
Part of the good news is that you are not your sin. Your sin is your sin, and you are you. What the Lord does in true repentance and transformation is show you the difference between the identity that sin assigned you and the identity He originally gave you before sin ever entered the picture. Old things are passed away, and all things are become new. That is the work we are watching happen in real time.
We watched her cry out to Jesus publicly, dying to her flesh in front of everybody, terminating old covenants and choosing Christ over the old life anyway. And now she is stepping into boxing, surrendering a new lane entirely to the Lord, trusting Him with her future and her child. I do not know that I have ever seen a young Black woman who has been through what she has been through demonstrate this level of public transformation. This is not a performance. This is a woman being made new in front of the whole world.
This is what it looks like when the Lord plants seeds in a vessel, sends people to water those seeds, and brings the increase Himself.
He which hath begun a good work in you will perform it. You do not manufacture this. You do not market this. This is the sovereignty of God on display through a life the court of public opinion already dismissed.
I am reading the book of Chrisean. I am rooting for every chapter. What you are watching is not a redemption arc. It is a resurrection.
